Food. I love it – there are no ifs, ands or buts about it. Yet over the past year and a half, I have made drastic changes to my diet.
I’ve been working my hardest to cut out most processed foods from my diet. In an ideal world, I would be able to cut them ALL out. It is not an ideal world, however, and I need to have realistic expectations (which is not always easy for me!).
I eat a lot of whole foods and raw foods. I do not eat red meat but am by no means a vegetarian. I enjoy my chicken, an occasional piece of pork and lurrve my eggs and dairy products.
I can become very easily regimented and comfortable in my food choices and honestly have no problem eating the same foods every day. Part of the reasoning behind this blog is to reignite the spark for my kitchen creativity! I don’t think that I am in a
food rut because I enjoy what I am eating. I would refer to it more as a creativity rut. Once I get tired of what I am eating, I switch it up (but will then be stuck on eating those new foods for an ungodly amount of time!)
So here’s to a new life in the kitchen! (With lots of bananas of course!)
I have a pretty intense relationship with food. I’ve struggled with disordered eating for year – but finally came to a point in my life – where living and enjoying the simple things was just more important. All that other jazz was exhausting and sucked the life right out of me…
