Thursday. It’s a good day. Mostly because it is one day away from Friday (not that I live for the weekend or anything.. Oh wait.) But seriously – things are starting to come together. I have had more good days than bad days so far this week – and I am loving all the of the progress I am seeing in all of my students ALREADY. I have a feeling I will be talking about crazy progress often! My next goal is to stay awake past 9:00. Ha.
So.. wedding. Yes. I’m still loving my pictures. I still look at them often. In all of my previous recaps, I made sure not to include any bridal party attire.. so now we can have a bridal attire party? (okay.. you must understand you get really corny when you are around 5/6 year olds all day. Please excuse me!)
The colors of our wedding were eggplant with a silver accent. The bridesmaids dresses were stunning.. flowers were perfect. Everything.. was just stunning on my five closest friends.

The sweetheart neckline and rouching looked great with my dress.. and I loved how my diamond white Sottero Adorae really popped!

The boys were looking mighty handsome too, in the newest Vera Wang Tux with silver vests and ties.

We got a few formal shots in.. which are always nice…but

All of the candid and less formal shots are the ones I love the most! (Read.. we don’t have fake smiles glued on our faces. Yes, we were all happy..but there is only so much happiness you can glue on your face. My cheeks were KILLING me by the time the photos were done!)

Yes, my brother does indeed have flowers in his mouth..

The boys did some fun football shots…

While I had a serious face off with my MOH!

And even though Justin wasn’t COOL enough to have a train that his attendants could carry while he walked up a hill…

He did his best to improvise!!
Both Justin and I felt truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our bridal party! I could not have asked for a more cooperative, willing group of friends. They did everything humanly possible to make sure that Justin and I had the wedding of our dreams.. and indeed, we did! These guys and gals went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. I am so glad that we have such amazing friends – and know that these friendships will continue to grow in the future.
If you are looking for more wedding recap posts.. you can see all the other jazz that happened on 08-10-12 here!
Do you prefer candid shots or formal shots?
How big was your bridal party? At 10 – (5 a piece) .. I think we had just the right size. We included the people we wanted to – so the numbers didn’t mean much at all!

I love the colors you chose for your bridal party
Purple hues have always been my favourite wedding colours. And when it comes to pictures, I really think that candid shots are the best because they tend to capture true emotions a lot better than formal shots do. Posing for pictures means putting a “picture face” on, which usually masks a lot of feeling. They’re still great to look at, but I definitely think that a mixture of both is needed

I love the eggplant dresses and that they are knee length! Soooo adorable! Their flowers compliment them so well too! I love pictures when people are just being themselves and fun not necessarily the cookie cutter pictures! I’m planning on a bridal party of 6 both of us having 3 each. I think that is a great number for us! (:

I was not a big fan of all the picture taking. I had 3 on my side, and Chris had 2 on his side. One of his groomsman ended up not being able to travel down to Florida.

I love the dresses you chose for the bridesmaids. The color is so fun but classy. I definitely prefer candids over formal shots, but I would like both when I get married.

That color is beautiful. Excellent choice! I definitely prefer candid photos. They’re so much more personal.

Can you tell me where you got your bridesmaid dresses?? They’re exactly what I’m looking for! Thanks!!
They are Bill Levkoff dresses. I am not sure of the exact style number anymore – but if you go to http://www.billlevkoff.com – you can search the dresses and find local retailers.
