Guest Post: Danielle’s Sweet Proposal!

I’m back from vacation… and lets just say my hand is a little heavier… why?
CAUSE I GOT ENGAGED! (:

Which means I am obviously going to start my beach posts from the middle of the trip. haha.
and this one is all about the engagement!

Saturday night Eric’s softball games ended pretty late. We got home around 8:30 PM, Eric took a shower and we headed to the boardwalk for dinner just the two of us. {Which was surprising since he was dead tired I figured he would just want to relax at the place we were staying and just hang out but nope}

We finally found a parking spot around the boardwalk at 9:30 PM and decided to eat at Shenanigans.


I ordered my daily Strawberry Daiquiri

then some crab dip. {can’t go to the beach without getting that a couple of times}

Yummy… and a Turkey Pretzel Sandwich

I ate half of it which surprised me because I hardly ate anything all day but for some reason all weekend my stomach was bothering me! I don’t really know why I would go places starving and eat like 2 bites. Very weird.

After we finished eating I told Eric I wasn’t really feeling walking around a lot because my stomach was aching soooo bad. So he suggested walking on the beach back to the area where we parked which was only a couple of blocks down so I agreed.

As we were walking Eric stopped and pulled me close. Telling me how happy he has been with me and that no other girl has ever made him feel like this… you know the mushy stuff! (:
He then reached in his pocket and grabbed something out. I didn’t know what it was figured it was his cell phone or something and the next thing you know he was down on one knee.

The first thing out of my mouth… “are you kidding me?” I asked this because at dinner we were talking about getting engaged and he said it wouldn’t be for awhile because he doesn’t have the money and blah blah blah. Well I eventually said “yes”, of course!

We called our families telling them the news {even though they all already knew} and of course Lynda and Steph!

We then headed back to our place where we were staying with 2 other couples and I got to tell the story again! (: Apparently everyone knew though that this was going to happen because Eric told his softball team weeks ago. I am surprised everyone knew but me. I always thought I’d be one of those girls that would know it was coming and like scramble around all his stuff until I found the ring. haha.
Eric was upset I didn’t cry but I honestly was just extremely surprised. I didn’t see it coming at all!
