Wow. It is July. As Presley reminded me – I am getting married NEXT month. (38 days from today, to be exact). While I truly think I got A LOT accomplished over the past couple of days, I feel the pressure mounting – and a mental list of things to do keeps getting longer and longer. If I don’t get it out on paper.. I forget it.
Until I am trying to go to bed that is. Ask Justin. Sunday night, I went to be bed about 1/2 hour before him. When he and Colby came into the bedroom – I was wide awake. I kindly reminded him that everyone needed to be fitted for their tuxes by next Tuesday. I have no idea what his response was because I had my ear plugs in.
About 20 minutes later, my mind was still reeling with wedding related things. I got out of bed and ate chocolate. Seemed like the only valid solution to me. While I’ve managed to calm my mind down a bit – I know that things are going to get pretty busy from here on out. I plan to get through it by breathing deep:

I decided that last night.
That is where I need YOUR help! I am putting out a call for guest posts!
Have a love story to share? A proposal? Tips for living with a significant other? Honeymoon or wedding stories? I want to know about them – and I’d love to share YOUR story on my blog! While it would be fun to keep things love themed, I am game for all types of guest posts!
So – here is the deal. If you are interested -
drop me a line.. in the comments .. via email (beyondbananas@ymail.com).. smoke signals..cans on a string.. However you see fit! You can straight up email me a post – or bounce an idea off of me if you would like!
The easiest way to send a guest post is to write it up on your blog – and then email me the HTML version! I can simply copy and paste it – and then you’ve made me a happy (less stressed) camper!
And now .. for some fun photos!
A couple of weeks ago – I participated in a little fitness photo shoot with my old (but still loved and used often) trainer! Here are a few shots that I am lovin’ and have helped me to truly see some of the lean muscle I have managed to developed over the past year and a half or so!
All of the girls..

And my proof that hard work.. sweat.. and most importantly – clean eats .. can help create muscle definition and a lean body…
November 2010 —————- June 2012
Okay. Now I feel REALLY narcissitc. But I am not. I told you about the shoot – and then wanted to share it with you – as many of you have requested.
Now – I am trying to make a new header incorporating some new pictures! Let’s add that to the never ending list of things to do! (Sorry.. clearly I am really crabby today and my head feels like it is going to EXPLODE.)

Have you ever done a photo shoot?
Stress relieving tips as the wedding nears?
Guest posters? Anyone?

The changes didn’t happen too quickly – it was actually close to 19 months! But still.. changes don’t happen overnight and persistence pays off!
Ahh totally misread the dates on that picture! I was thinking it was 2011-2012! The hard work is admirable and inspiring! Great Job!!!

Hi Jessie! I love your new blog! Thanks for the compliments. I am trying my best to let the stress pass me by and just enjoy it. I did really good with that until like … yesterday haha.
Awe, girl it’ll pass by.. I promise!! No reason to be stressed, esp when you’ve achieved so much and look great in those pictures! You should be out celebrating girl
–Thanks for checking out the blog too btw!
The pictures are great and are proof that hard work does pay off. You should be super proud of yourself. I remember how stressed I felt as my wedding got closer and close. The best thing that I did to keep myself calm was each day I took 10 minutes to write down things that I loved about my husband, a funny memory, or something I wanted him to know. By taking my focus off the wedding itself and back on our relationship, I was much calmer.
In honor of your wedding, I was thinking that I could do a guest post about how to work out as a couple. Maybe share one of the routines that my hubby and I do together?
Kimberly @ Redefining Kim recently posted..A Productive Morning
Kim, I love your idea about taking that time to write things you love about your hubby. I am actually making my fiance a gift – so I think when I am feeling super stressed, I will work on that because it has to do with all of the things I love about him!
I would love if you wrote a guest post about the routines that you guys do together! I think that it is a wonderful idea! Take your time with it and then email it to me and I’ll be sure to get it up as the wedding nears!
So excited about doing a guest post! Thank you!

Kaitlin that would be a perfect post! I’d love for you to write one up! Take your time (well.. I’ll give you like 35 days. haha).
We should figure out some schedule and then workout together.. it would be fun to have a buddy again!
I have never done a photo shoot, but I would love to. After losing 98lsb, it would be nice to have some good photos to look back on.
First of all – congratulations on that amazing weight loss! That is such an accomplishment! You should reward yourself with a little shoot! It is definitely fun and you really let your confidence shine!

Your pics are ah-maz-ing! I’m so jealous of your arms!
Today is actually my second wedding anniversary and I remember “crunch time” before the wedding day all too well
Just try and do one thing at a time because if you try and tackle too many small things at once, your head might explode! But at the end of the day, everything will be perfect…you just have to keep telling yourself that!

Wow! Love your comparison “muscle” shots! So many women get freaked out about building muscles thinking they’ll look all bulky but you look lean and toned! It’s amazing! I might be able to write up a post for you to use, I would write it up for my blog first and send you the link and you are free to use it it you like it. I’m thinking about a brief article about my love story as well as intertwining the topic of “young marriage” since I got engaged when I was 17 and married at 19! (I’m now 24 with three beautiful babies and still going strong!) I’ll work on that sometime this week and get back to you!
Hey Emily! Thanks for your compliments! I love the definition I have developed over the past year and a half – and agree that many women falsely believe the lifting will create bulk! On top of that.. lots of people think that they can build definition through just lifting. Diet is THE most important component – or at least it was for me!
I would love to feature a post that has to do with young love – and I am very interested in reading this! If you would like to send me the link to your post after you have done it – please feel free too!
Hi Emily! Please let me know if you do intend to do that post on your blog! We are getting to the crunch time for wedding! Gah! I would love to feature your story on the blog and I think a lot of people would love reading it!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
