Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was rather busy, but I can’t complain! I did every thing I had hoped I would accomplish .. and am thoroughly exhausted!
Crazy storms made their way through parts of CT on Friday – but it didn’t keep my from where I needed to go!

Friday – I made my way up to my parents house and had a special evening planned with my trainer. He does photo shoots every so often (this is where the picture in the center of my header came from) .. and he invited me to come on Friday and do another one.

I have a lot of fun with the girls when I do this, so I happily accetpted. Trainer AJ wants me to update my bio to talk about how I continue to utilize the knowledge, exercises, and techniques that I gained while training with him on a regular basis – to help guide me in my healthy lifestyle and keep myself strong, lean, and fit. AJ is no joke.. and will kick my ass in a second.. which is exactly what he did on Saturday morning when I went to his group training class. He knows I have my wedding coming up – so I told him some of my problem areas and he totally catered the workout to my needs. He knows I will continue to do the work at home.. which is exactly why I went out to my car and wrote down the exercises after class!
I spent a majority of Saturday running other errands and doing things around the house (and perhaps got a little bit of pool time!). When Sunday rolled around, I boot camped it in the morning – and then laid by the pool in the afternoon with my MOH! She came down to catch up – chat .. and then accompany me to my second bridal shower – which was hosted by my future mother in law.

The shower was held at Rye Bar and Grill – and was so beautiful. My FMIL did an awesome job of putting everything together. She chose a beautiful venue that served delicious food. Everyone was so kind and loving – and I truly felt welcome (as I always do) into this new side of my family!
After unloading the cars, I thought I’d just relax, but I decided I wanted to start taking everything out of the box and putting it away. 5473 cardboard cuts later… I am still not done – and was really tired! But today is another day and I am sure I will get a lot more accomplished today!
Well.. maybe. Now I have one of these babies to play with!

Sounds like a great weekend!

The best thing I did was just lounge around in the sun with my husband! So relaxing!

I am looking forward to our next activity free weekend so we can just do nothing. I honestly am not sure we will have one until after the wedding, though!
Your trainer sounds awesome! Very cool that you got to participate in a photo shoot, too. Can’t wait to see the pics.
My weekend was good – it cleared 90 degrees and I was out in it all day yesterday… at least my tan is good now.

Thanks, Claire! I am excited to put it to use!
I seriously had the BEST time the days following my bridal shower, putting everything away and organizing the new kitchen

Hahah! I have SO many paper cuts and hang nails from trying to open all the boxes. I am not sure I would qualify putting everything away as highly as you – because while it was neat to open everything up and organize – I wish we had more space to do it! We even have some things in our storage unit & in Justin’s parents’ basement!
I have that same food processor!
I’m glad you had a great shower!! I have that food processor too! I actually broke it though, grr

Aw! Sorry to hear it is broken! Maybe it can be fixed?!
I’ve been holding out on buying a new food processor until my upcoming bridal shower/wedding in hopes that I’ll get a new one. My current one is teeny tiny!!
Also, I nominated you for a One Lovely Blog award (deets on my page!) because I think you’re awesome!

Thanks for the nomination! I will surely check it out!
We were blessed by getting so many awesome things for our bridal shower – I put off buying many things in hopes that we would get them as gifts too – and we got basically everything we could have hoped for!
