Happy Monday!! This might be THE one and only time each year that I am absolutely THRILLED that it is Monday!
Katie – who is THE sweetest girl and blogs over at the amazing Healthy Diva Eats - has thrown together a blog link up that takes place every Monday – called Marvelous in my Monday.
She put it together to help brighten the start of everyone’s weeks – since we all know that Monday isn’t always the BEST day!
But today.. it is INDEED a marvelous Monday.
Why?! Welp – it is the LAST Monday that I will be working until the last week of August. There is certainly reason to celebrate and feel that this will not only be a MARVELOUS MONDAY.. but a marvelous week, as well!
Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE my job. I LOVE my students. I’ll be honest – this year has been tough for many reasons because of a very sad event that happened early in the year. I never fully bounced back to my “normal” self. (I also did not short my students WHAT SO EVER.. they had a fantastic year!) But I am ready to cross out those final 5 days!
To carry the marvelous I am feeling to the classroom.. we will be doing some FUN things this week!
We will start off the week by making SLIME! 
Although – it will be white slime since I forgot the food coloring at home! (Maybe I can find some.. somewhere!)
Later in the week, my kiddos will receive my lovely CANDY AWARDS!
I actually am trying to put together a post on these because I’ve been getting tons of emails from teachers asking for details.. how I made the awards.. etc. I’ve been inspired by so many teachers to hand make a lot of materials and put them on TPT .. so I may be tackling that idea this summer, as well!
And while this doesn’t have a thing to do with school, I couldn’t resist sharing a picture of my ever-so-marvelous, cute, and cuddly dog!
Colby and I hung out all weekend (well.. when I wasn’t at bridal showers/book fairs) because Justin was away all weekend at his Bachelor Party. We had a good time. (And I found out that he behaves MUCH better when it is only me around!)
So put on a happy face on – and get through your Monday!
(Let’s pretend I don’t have bags under my eyes. I couldn’t sleep last night because I was so excited that today was the last Monday…or I just had trouble sleeping.)

Aw! Dogs are marvelous in every way possible.. so I guess it is most appropriate!
Love the kiddies awards! My mom (who was a teacher for 33 years) used to always do things like that

wohoo home stretch!! I wish I had something to count down too! Once school is over you get to focus on the countdown to that wedding and honeymoon!!
