Thank you all for your kind words about my bridal shower! It was an amazing day indeed and I am so happy that I chose to wear my purple dress 
As I mentioned yesterday, my bridesmaids presented me with a fun gift – which is commonly known as “The Panty Poem”. Apparently this is a semi-popular gift that is given at bridal showers – but for those of you who are not familiar with it – I really wanted to share it with you.
The bridesmaids have a secret to share
About our little bride;
She’s obsessed with underwear
This we cannot hide.
So for our little panty queen
I gathered up some twine
And put the panties in a row
To make a panty line
Cait, these undies are to last you
All throughout your life
And Justin will be pleased to say
He has a sexy wife.
So listen up to hear about
Your lifelong panty plan
These underwear, we have no doubt
Will last your whole lifespan!
The first are for your wedding day,
Of course they are pure white!
We know that Justin will shout “Hurray!”
When he sees you on that night!
The next are for your honeymoon
They’re sexy and all lace;
We hope you’ll leave your hotel room
Because Aruba is a beautiful place.
On Valentine’s Day you’ll wear this pair
Before you hit the bed
Cause Cupid’s arrow in the air
Shoots tushies that are red!
After a year has passed,
You’ll face anniversary number one-
With these you’ll surely have a blast
Because leopard’s so much fun!
And when the time is right for you
And don’t be saying “Maybe”
You’ll wear your little pink or blue
In honor of your baby
And when your years of wedding bliss
Become the big 2-5
Don’t worry, you’ll just slip these on
To keep the spark alive.
When finally you’re old and grey
With these you can’t go wrong.
Cause sorry, Cait, but at that age…
You just can’t wear a thong.
It was so cute. But I will tell you I made eye contact with NO ONE while this was being read! I was slightly embrarssed in front of my mother, FMIL, aunts, older cousins.. you know; all of the people that are one or two generations older then me!
But, I could HEAR the laughter bursting in the entire room. Everyone thought it was so funny! It was tasteful – not anything over the top. Embarrassment is just my thing! I thought this was so cute and was something that brought everyone together with laughter and smiles!

That is so funny! I’ve never see the “pant line before.” YOu better believe the next time a friend gets married this will be happening.

that is too funny!! I have never heard of this before, for my friends bachelorette party we all got her underwear and put them all over the room and she had to guess who got her what pair!

Yes! I totally want to do this at a bridal shower – although it wouldn’t be quite as funny if it is for one of my bridesmaids when they get married since they already know all about it! Maybe I will have to write my own.. ha

OMG this is so great!! I’ve never heard of this before, but then again I haven’t been to many bridal showers either.
Where are you staying in Aruba?? I’ve been 3 times and we always stay at the Riu. You have to have dinner at El Goucho and Flying Fishbone!! Two of my favorite restaurants EVER!!
