Good morning.. and Happy Monday!

 

I hate the weekend after a three day weekend.. because it most definitely feels WAY too short!!

 

I am sure you are all wishing you had Monday off – just like you did last weekend.  I cannot get you the day off. However.. I can provide you with a fabulous little GIVEAWAY to enter!! (Next best thing? Maybe.. probably not though..) What about chocolate?!  A little bit better?

I try to keep a healthy and balanced lifestyle by eating healthy (most of the time!), keeping my body in shape and enjoying life! I try to make healthy decisions whenever I can, but also allow myself to have a few treats here and there :)

I live a healthy balanced life by eating healthy most of the time and allowing myself to enjoy “junk” foods in moderation! I also make sure that I walk & take the stairs as much as possible since my schedule rarely allows for a good workout!

To try and be healthy I have started baking/making a lot more of my own snacks- this is cutting down a lot of the preservatives, additives etc I was consuming which are in a lot of the pre-packaged snacks I used to buy.

Right now, to keep my body balance and healthy I try to eat foods that are nutritious, I try to eat a lot of veggies, and I workout 5-6 days a week :)

Eating healthy and exercising are two keys of feeling well and keeping my body in balance. Plus having fun here and there and being flexible to enjoy life little pleasures (like chocolate and ice cream!) with my son are key to keep my mind sane and in balance too!

I keep wanting to try the attune stuff, but I just can’t swing almost 2$ a pop while on a budget…damn college :)

I totally know how much IBS sucks! Mine used to be sooo awful, but it has gotten much better since I cut out gluten and dairy, also I drink a room temperature glass of water in the morning before breakfast.
To keep healthy every day, I drink lots of water and take my vitamins and make sure I eat my veggies :)

I’ve had similiar issues, especially with the bloating and stomach pain. A few weeks ago, it got so bad that I ended up at the doctor’s too. I’ve been taking probiotic pills and also have to watch what I eat. But it’s definitely helping. Although, I will say that eating the probiotics in chocolate form sounds a lot better. ;)

I forwarded your IBS post to my husband and my sister and told them that is the story of my life! It’s miserable! And I definitely empathise and feel your pain (ha, literally!) Currently I take Fiber Choice and eat lots of fruits and veggies, and I actually like prunes, so I eat a few of them every day too. I also eat greek yogurt – but I’m lactose intolerant as well, so that’s in moderation. And I can’t eat most grains since I’m gluten intolerant as well. Still on the road to finding what will work for me…the chocolate bars sound great!

rest days are SO necessary.. although I must say, I am horrible at taking them even though I know how important they are. I planned to take one Sunday.. just go out for a little stroll. but the stroll turned into a run because I got bored of walking…
